The service

Story Weaver is a personalized children's book service operated by Troven Inc. (49 Kearney Street, Guelph, Ontario, N1E 7B9, Canada). You upload photos, we write and lay out a book, you review and approve it, we print and ship it. This service is intended for use by adults; you must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory to place an order.

Your photos

By uploading photos you confirm that you have the right to use them for this purpose — that you took them, own them, or have permission from whoever does. You are responsible for ensuring photos of other people, including children who are not your own, are uploaded with appropriate consent from a parent or guardian. Price, currency, and what's included

Current pricing is shown to you in Canadian dollars before you check out, including any applicable taxes and shipping charges, and you will have the opportunity to review your order and correct any errors before payment is collected. A softcover book is $44.99 CAD and a hardcover book is $59.99 CAD, plus applicable tax and shipping; a PDF digital copy is included with every order at no extra charge.

The approval process

You review every page of your book before anything is printed. Nothing goes to print until you click Approve. By approving, you confirm the book is correct and ready to print.

Payment, cancellation, and refunds

Payment is collected at checkout via Stripe. You may cancel your order at any time before you click Approve, and we will not charge you or will refund you in full if payment was already collected. Once you approve your book and it is sent to print, the sale is final — approving is the point at which your book enters production and can no longer be changed or cancelled. If your book arrives damaged or with a printing defect, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will reprint it at no charge. We do not offer refunds for approved orders where the book was printed as approved.

Delivery

Books are printed by Lulu Press and shipped directly to the address you provide. Delivery typically takes 2 to 3 weeks from order. We are not responsible for delays caused by the printer or carrier once the order is submitted.

Digital copy

A PDF digital copy is included with every order, available for you to download for a limited time after your book is delivered. See our Privacy Notice for exactly how long. It is for personal use only and may not be resold or distributed.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim relating to your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in this section limits any right or remedy available to you under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

Privacy

Your photos and personal information are handled as described in our Privacy Notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.
